*began doing cut-ups of pop tunes when i was thirteen.
*strated writing "the independent traveler tapes" at 15.
*tutored film and alternative music with mentor john baran in 1990.
*saw first concert with melanie austin in 1990. Public Enemy's fear of a black planet tour in hamilton. the sound was horrible but they were awesome.
*film credits (as writer/director):

embrace cut-up video collages (1993-1995)
26 is 8 (incomplete feature abandoned when i saw
pie[darren aronofsky] and the similarities between
the two)
cryptaesia(music video, music by nahkoda) (2000)
*first band was called 'artis's and critic's', formed in 1987 with ryan vale.
*first live gig was as the lead vocalist for 'able bodied semen' at the hideaway in 1989.
*biggest first gig was opening for toronto's 'digital poodle' in jan 1994 as 'embrace'.
*first article (and 4 of the five written about me) about me appeared in the st. catharines standard in spring 1994 featuring my band 'the embrace'.
*best live show (early years):
any psychotronic assimilation technics show at
'out of the past in the summer of 1995,
especially the one with 12:20.
*best live show (recently): april 27th 2007 at pandemic.
D.A.R.T.'s final show, included a live talk show
featuring famous movie monsters and zoomboy,
wrestling monsters rock!
*most influential friends, well the most influential family actually. sarah mason and her parents introduced me to weird music, beatnik attitudes and johnny fear.
*published my first zine in high school called 'notorious', lasted two issues. returned to zines in 1997 with a newer version of 'notorious' that was a massive 44 pages of 8 1/2 by 11. it ran for four issues. (4 very awesome issues).
*currently finishing my new zine called "!ACHTUNG!"
*current musical pursuits include new tracks for 'nahkoda' and the dusting off of 'kook'. there may even be the birth of 'the brotherhood of sleep'.
*current video pursuits include 'los dias de los muertos'
*working on the 'los dias de los muertos' show for november 2nd 2007 at the pandemic nightclub.
*fixations include watching lots of film. i mean lots.
* i'm reading 'jitterbug perfume' by tom robbins, 'welcome to the monkey house' by kurt vonnegut jr and a bio on the coen brothers.
